What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain written consent from Bambu before relocating their Franchised Location or Protected Area. Additionally, upon approval of the new location, the franchisee is required to pay a relocation fee of $15,000. Bambu will assess the new location based on similar factors used for the initial Franchised Location approval.
Following the relocation fee payment, Bambu will provide support for the new Bambu shoppe, including two site visits and three days of additional training. If the existing Bambu shoppe is closed during the relocation, the franchisee remains responsible for Royalty Fee payments during the closure. However, Bambu will waive the Marketing and Technology Fee until the relocated Bambu shoppe is opened.
This policy ensures that Bambu maintains control over its brand and market strategy, even as franchisees seek to optimize their locations. The relocation fee and continued royalty payments during closure could represent a significant financial burden for franchisees, so careful planning is essential. The support offered by Bambu, including site visits and training, aims to facilitate a smooth transition and maintain operational standards at the new location.
