What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the fees outlined in Item 6 apply to all franchises, including those developed under a MUD (Multi-Unit Development) Agreement. This means that franchisees operating under a MUD agreement are subject to the same ongoing fees as single-unit franchisees.
The fees and charges are imposed by and payable to Bambu and are nonrefundable. All fees and charges are payable by ACH transfer. Bambu retains the right to modify these fees and charges to resolve disputes, address business and economic conditions, or under other circumstances.
One notable fee is the Transfer Fee. If a franchisee transfers rights under a MUD Agreement, they must pay $15,000, plus an additional $7,500 transfer fee for each undeveloped franchise right. This fee is payable when the franchisee presents a written offer from the proposed transferee to Bambu. The transferee is not charged an Initial Franchise Fee, and Bambu will provide training for three representatives of the transferee at no further charge.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Item 6 of the FDD to understand all applicable fees and their due dates. Understanding these financial obligations is crucial for assessing the overall cost and profitability of a Bambu franchise, especially when considering a MUD Agreement.
