What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Marketing and Technology Fee is due on the first day of each month. This fee commences on the first day of the first full month following the opening of the Bambu shoppe. As of the date of the FDD, the Marketing and Technology Fee is $550 per month, but will increase to $575 per month on January 1, 2026.
This means that a new Bambu franchisee will not have to pay the Marketing and Technology Fee until the month after their store opens. After that initial payment, the franchisee must pay the fee on the first day of each subsequent month. The amount is subject to increase each year on 90 days' written notice.
Bambu maintains a separate account for these fees, called the Marketing and Technology Fund, which is used for marketing and technology efforts. Company and affiliate-owned stores contribute to this fund on an equal percentage basis with franchised locations. Franchisees can request an annual unaudited financial statement detailing how the fund was spent in the previous year, 60 days after the end of each year.
