What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bambu will not be responsible for costs associated with delays in opening a Bambu shoppe if the delays result from the Bambu Certified Team Leaders not being prepared to open the shoppe. This means that if the team leaders do not meet Bambu's standards and specifications, any costs incurred due to the delay will be the franchisee's responsibility.
This stipulation highlights the importance of thoroughly training the Bambu Certified Team Leaders. If Bambu's trainers determine that the team leaders are not operating the shoppe in accordance with Bambu's standards, additional training will be required, potentially delaying the opening. The franchisee will bear the financial burden of this delay, incentivizing them to ensure their team leaders are well-prepared.
This type of clause is not uncommon in franchise agreements, as franchisors want to ensure consistent brand standards and operational efficiency. By placing the cost burden on the franchisee for inadequate team leader preparation, Bambu aims to motivate franchisees to invest in proper training and readiness, thus protecting the brand's reputation and operational consistency.
