What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can face termination for the unauthorized disclosure of the FRC Materials. Specifically, if a franchisee intentionally or negligently discloses the contents, or any part of Bambu's FRC Materials, or any other trade secrets or confidential information to any unauthorized person, it can lead to termination of the franchise agreement.
The FRC Materials are defined as Bambu's confidential Owner Operations Manual (OOM) and policy releases, accessible through the Franchise Resource Center (FRC) at www.bambufrc.com. These materials include the FRC Blog, FRC Forum, notices, marketing materials, artwork, health compliance plan and information, ordering platform, other manuals, technical and news bulletins, and other written or electronic materials. These materials cover standards, specifications, and operating and marketing procedures that Bambu requires the franchisee to use.
Bambu also communicates standards and specifications, or changes to them, via email, text messages, or other electronic methods (SMS). These communications are considered part of the FRC Materials, and franchisees must comply with them. Franchisees are responsible for ensuring that only authorized employees or officers, who have signed a confidentiality and noncompetition agreement approved by Bambu, have access to the FRC Materials. Franchisees must also return any written portions of the FRC Materials and delete all electronic copies upon termination, expiration, or assignment of the Franchise Agreement.
