Bambu Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisee (or, if Franchisee is not an individual, an owner designated by Bambu) shall attend an annual convention of franchise owners. Bambu may also require Franchisee to attend additional training specifically for Franchisee if Bambu deems it necessary or appropriate in its discretion. Franchisee will be responsible for all traveling, lodging, and meal expenses which are associated with attendance at any mandatory training program and the annual convention. Bambu reserves the right to charge a fee or tuition based on its then-current published rate for any training that Franchisee requests or that Bambu requires specific to Franchisee.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bambu's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attending an annual convention is mandatory for franchise owners. Specifically, the FDD states that the franchisee (or, if the franchisee is not an individual, an owner designated by Bambu) must attend this convention. Franchisees are responsible for covering their own travel, lodging, and meal expenses associated with attending the annual convention.

In addition to the annual convention, Bambu has the right to require franchisees, Bambu Certified Team Leaders, and other designated employees to attend and satisfactorily complete training and certification courses from time to time. Bambu will provide at least 30 days prior written notice for any mandatory training courses or programs. Bambu will not require in-person attendance at additional training courses or programs more than two times, totaling five days, in any calendar year.

These mandatory training and convention requirements ensure that Bambu franchisees and their teams stay updated on operational standards, new products, and best practices. While attendance involves costs for travel, lodging, and meals, it also presents an opportunity for franchisees to network with other owners and learn directly from the franchisor. Franchisees should factor these mandatory attendance requirements and associated costs into their overall investment and operational budget.
