What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Bambu Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees need to get approval from Bambu for all advertising and marketing programs. Specifically, this includes any advertising materials whether they are printed or digital. This extends to online directory or search engine marketing, newspaper ads, flyers, brochures, magazines, coupons, direct mail pieces, specialty and novelty items, radio, television, social media materials and videos, and in-shop marketing. Franchisees must also get approval before using any promotional materials that vendors provide.

To get approval, franchisees must submit the proposed written or electronic advertising or a description of the marketing or promotional program to Bambu at least 30 days before it is published, broadcast, posted, or otherwise used. Bambu has the right to withhold approval of advertising at its discretion.

While the FDD excerpt does not specifically address celebrity endorsements, the broad requirement for approval over all advertising materials implies that celebrity endorsements would also need to be pre-approved by Bambu. A prospective franchisee should confirm this interpretation with Bambu directly.
