What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, B Bops is not obligated to develop or provide advertising campaigns to a franchisee if they have elected to waive the advertising fee in whole. This means that if B Bops decides to forgo collecting the advertising fee from a franchisee, they are not required to provide advertising, promotional, and public relations campaigns for that franchisee's location.

This condition has significant implications for prospective franchisees. While the waiver of the advertising fee might seem beneficial initially, franchisees need to consider the potential negative impact of not participating in B Bops's advertising campaigns. These campaigns are designed to promote the Licensed System and Licensed Marks, which are crucial for attracting customers and maintaining brand recognition. Without these campaigns, an individual franchisee might struggle to compete with other B Bops locations or competing restaurants in their area.

It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the circumstances under which B Bops might waive the advertising fee and the potential consequences of such a waiver. They should inquire about the frequency with which B Bops has waived this fee in the past and the reasons for doing so. Additionally, franchisees should assess their ability to independently implement marketing strategies to compensate for the lack of franchisor-provided advertising. Understanding these factors will help franchisees make informed decisions about the potential risks and benefits associated with this condition.
