What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is required to reimburse B Bops for airline tickets under specific circumstances related to pre-opening and post-opening assistance.
The franchisee must reimburse B Bops for the cost of round-trip airline tickets, if applicable, and hotel expenses for B Bops's personnel. This reimbursement is required when B Bops provides between one and four people to assist the franchisee at the franchise premises. This assistance occurs for a period of three to five days before the franchise opens, with the exact number of days determined by B Bops. The franchisee or their manager must be present during this assistance period.
Additionally, the franchisee is also required to reimburse B Bops for airline tickets and hotel expenses when B Bops provides assistance for a period of four to six days immediately following the opening of the franchise. Again, the number of days is determined by B Bops, and the franchisee or their manager must be present during the assistance. This condition applies if B Bops incurs these travel-related costs to support the franchisee during the initial setup and operation of the B Bops restaurant.
This means that franchisees should budget for these potential reimbursement costs in addition to the standard franchise fees and initial investment. The obligation to cover these expenses is contingent on B Bops providing on-site support teams during both the pre-opening and immediate post-opening phases, and if airline travel is involved.
