What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a relocation fee of $2,000 is required if a franchisee needs to move their B Bops restaurant to a new location during the term of the Franchise Agreement. This fee is contingent upon the Company's approval of the new location.
The circumstances necessitating relocation and the associated fee include situations where the current lease is terminated, the premises are destroyed by fire or other casualty, or eminent domain proceedings are commenced. These events are typically outside the franchisee's direct control, but the fee is still applicable if relocation becomes necessary.
In addition to the relocation fee during the franchise term, B Bops also charges a relocation fee if the franchisee chooses to renew their franchise agreement and relocation of the franchise is involved as part of the renewal process. In this case, the relocation fee is up to $1,000, which is in addition to the $5,000 renewal fee.
