What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase all items necessary to establish and operate their franchise in accordance with the specifications established by B Bops. This includes all equipment and fixtures necessary for the operation of the franchise, with specifications primarily relating to the manufacturer and model number of such items. These specifications are part of the construction specifications provided to the franchisee after the Franchise Agreement is executed and the initial franchise fee is paid.

B Bops formulates its specifications based on the experience of its affiliate in operating ten B Bops Restaurants. Modifications to these specifications are based on B Bops's continuing experience and its own experience in franchising B Bops Restaurants. These modifications are communicated through updates to the Operations Manual or via written reports or memoranda.

While franchisees must adhere to B Bops's specifications, they generally have the freedom to purchase items meeting these specifications from a source of their choosing, with exceptions for items bearing the "B-Bop's" logo, such as employee uniforms and paper products, which must be purchased from approved suppliers. B Bops estimates that 90% to 95% of the total purchases associated with establishing the franchise and the ongoing operation of the franchise must conform to company specifications.

Prospective franchisees should be aware that B Bops reserves the right to require purchases from approved suppliers in the future, though it currently does not maintain a list of approved suppliers or criteria for approving them, except for employee uniforms, items with the B Bops logo, and shake mix. Franchisees are required to maintain property insurance in the minimum amount of the full replacement valve of the premises and equipment, liability insurance in the minimum amount of $2,000,000 and workers compensation insurance as required by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.
