What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase equipment and fixtures necessary for operating the franchise in accordance with the specifications established by B Bops. These specifications primarily relate to the manufacturer and model number of such items. All specifications relating to construction materials, equipment, fixtures and signage are contained in B Bops's construction specifications which will be provided to franchisees after they have executed the Franchise Agreement and paid the initial franchise fee.
B Bops formulates its specifications based on the experience of its affiliate, B-Bop's, in establishing and operating ten B-Bop's Restaurants. Any modifications which B Bops may from time to time make to its specifications will be based on B-Bop's continuing experience and its own experience in franchising B-Bop's Restaurants.
While franchisees must adhere to B Bops's specifications, they generally have the freedom to purchase items meeting those specifications from a source of their choosing, except for employee uniforms and items bearing the B-Bop's logo. These logo-bearing items must be purchased from suppliers approved in advance by B Bops. The FDD names Carpenter Uniform Co. of Des Moines, Iowa as the approved supplier for employee uniforms, Martin Brothers Distributing Co., Inc. of Cedar Falls, Iowa as the approved supplier for logoed items, and Anderson Erickson Dairy Co. of Des Moines, Iowa as the approved supplier for the Company's shake mix.
