What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for preparing site-specific plans and specifications for construction. B Bops will provide the franchisee with the initial construction plans and specifications. The franchisee is then responsible for transforming these into site-specific plans that comply with all local codes, regulations, and ordinances.
The franchisee must also ensure these plans and specifications are certified. All expenses associated with this process, including transforming the plans, ensuring compliance, and certification, are the franchisee's responsibility. These plans and specifications remain the confidential property of B Bops and must be returned after construction.
Furthermore, the franchisee cannot modify B Bops's plans and specifications without prior consent. If modifications are allowed, the person making the changes must assign their rights in the modified plans to B Bops. This ensures B Bops maintains control over the brand's design and standards, even with site-specific adaptations.
