What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Project Manual contains the plans and specifications for constructing the franchise premises. B Bops retains exclusive ownership of the Project Manual, and franchisees must return it after construction is complete.
If any modifications are made to the Project Manual, including its plans and specifications, B Bops's consent is required. Furthermore, the person making the modifications must execute and deliver to B Bops an assignment of their rights to the modified Project Manual, including the plans and specifications.
This requirement ensures that B Bops maintains control over the design and construction standards of its franchise locations, even when modifications are made. For a prospective franchisee, this means that any desired changes to the standard building plans must be approved by B Bops, and the franchisee must be willing to assign any rights to those changes to the company. This protects B Bops's brand consistency and intellectual property.
