What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, B Bops does provide a training course as part of its initial obligations to the franchisee. Specifically, prior to opening, the franchisee or their proposed manager must attend and complete a training course to the satisfaction of B Bops. This course is conducted by B Bops at its principal office and includes on-site instruction regarding standard management procedures for operating a B Bops Restaurant.

The cost of the course and all necessary materials for up to two people are included in the initial franchise fee. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all compensation, travel, lodging, and other expenses incurred while attending the training. This is a fairly standard arrangement in the franchise industry, where the franchisor provides the training content, but the franchisee bears the cost of attending.

It's important to note that B Bops retains the discretion to determine if a proposed manager is qualified during the training course. If B Bops decides the manager is not qualified, the franchisee must select a substitute manager to enroll in the course. B Bops also has the option to extend the training period if they deem additional training necessary for satisfactory completion. This highlights the importance of selecting a manager who meets B Bops's standards and being prepared for potential additional training costs.
