What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee covers the training course and all materials necessary to conduct such training for up to two people. This includes either the franchisee or the franchisee's proposed manager. The training course is conducted by B Bops at its principal office and includes on-site instruction regarding standard management procedures for operating a B-Bop's Restaurant.

However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all compensation, travel, lodging, and other expenses incurred by the franchisee or their employees while attending the training course. If B Bops determines that the proposed manager is not qualified during the training, the franchisee can select and enroll a substitute manager in the course. B Bops may also extend the standard training period if they deem additional training necessary for satisfactory completion.

This means a new B Bops franchisee needs to budget not only for the initial franchise fee but also for the additional costs of sending themselves or their manager to the training program. It is also important to note that B Bops has the discretion to require additional training, which could lead to further expenses for the franchisee.
