What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 B Bops Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Licensed Marks' are the "B-Bop's" name and related logos. As a franchisee, you are granted the right to use these marks in connection with operating your B Bops restaurant at the approved location. However, this use is subject to specific guidelines and restrictions outlined in the Operations Manual and the franchise agreement.

B Bops franchisees have a duty to maintain and enhance the goodwill associated with the Licensed Marks. Franchisees must adhere to the Operations Manual policies and limit the display of these marks to the franchise premises. Any use of the B Bops marks for unauthorized goods or services requires prior written consent from B Bops. Additionally, franchisees cannot incorporate "B-Bop's" into the name of any business entity through which the franchise operates and must use only approved trademarks, trade names, and service marks. Franchisees are responsible for complying with all laws related to trade names, trademarks, and service marks, including properly marking documents to show registration to B Bops.

B Bops retains the right to modify the Licensed Marks, with written notification to the franchisee. B Bops also has the authority to require franchisees to discontinue or modify the use of any Licensed Marks within 30 days of written notice. Franchisees are obligated to inform B Bops immediately of any challenges to their use of the Licensed Marks, any third-party claims to rights in similar marks, or any apparent infringement of the Licensed Marks. B Bops maintains complete discretion over any legal actions related to the Licensed Marks, and franchisees must cooperate with B Bops in any related investigations or proceedings.

Upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, franchisees must immediately cease all use and display of the Licensed Marks. This includes removing all signs, emblems, fixtures, and promotional materials that display the marks or feature characteristics of the B Bops system. Franchisees must also modify the franchise premises to distinguish it from its former appearance and from other B Bops restaurants, including discontinuing the use of the unique blue color scheme.
