What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the primary instructional material used in the training course is the Operations Manual. This manual contains the Licensed System and standard operating procedures and policies. The B Bops training course is a 25-day program that includes both classroom instruction at the company's office in Urbandale, Iowa, and on-site training at a B Bops restaurant in the Des Moines, Iowa area.
The Operations Manual remains the exclusive and confidential property of B Bops and must be returned if the franchise is terminated or expires. This is a common practice in franchising, as the Operations Manual contains proprietary information critical to maintaining brand standards and consistency across all franchise locations. Franchisees should familiarize themselves with the Operations Manual and ensure they understand and adhere to its guidelines.
B Bops also provides additional training to franchisees or their employees for a fee not to exceed $2,000. The material covered in refresher training depends on the franchisee's needs. The company also provides initial training for new managers, structured similarly to the pre-opening training course. Franchisees are responsible for all compensation, travel, lodging, and other expenses incurred while participating in any training courses.
