What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if the company approves a proposed site, they will advise the franchisee whether they must construct and operate a B Bops Restaurant with or without indoor seating. The decision to require indoor seating depends on factors similar to those used in the site approval process. The franchisee is solely responsible for the construction expenses.
B Bops considers factors such as the site's size, layout, adaptability for a B Bops Restaurant, population density, traffic patterns, the location of other fast-food restaurants, the cost of purchasing or leasing the site, and the accessibility of utilities and public services when determining whether to approve a site. While there's no set time limit for approval, B Bops anticipates the process will generally take 60 days after the site submission. The document cautions against entering any binding agreements for the purchase or lease of a site before receiving approval from B Bops.
Following site approval, B Bops estimates the time between the deposit payment and the franchise opening to be approximately six to twelve months. The period between the execution of the Franchise Agreement and the opening is estimated to be four to nine months, assuming prompt construction. However, this start-up period can vary due to factors like securing a suitable site, obtaining financing and permits, construction, and equipment installation. The franchise premises are subject to inspection and approval by B Bops before operations can begin, and B Bops can delay the opening if construction doesn't meet their standards until the necessary corrections are made at the franchisee's expense.
