What happens if an acceptable site cannot be located and approved for a B Bops franchise?
B_Bops Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Site Approval. You will be granted the right to operate the Franchise at a specific site which must be approved in writing by the Company. The site selection process will generally proceed as follows. When you apply to purchase a Franchise, you will need to execute an Application Agreement. The Company will also sign the Application Agreement and will complete Exhibit A thereto specifying the trade area in which you propose to establish your Franchise. You will thereafter be responsible for selecting and securing an acceptable site in the trade area and submitting that site to the Company for its approval. The location and approval of a site for your Franchise will be part of the application process, and it is not anticipated that a Franchise Agreement will be executed until such time as an acceptable site has been located and approved. In the event an acceptable site cannot be located and approved, your application for a Franchise will not be approved and you will be entitled to receive a refund of the deposit as described in Item 5 of this disclosure document.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the location and approval of a site is a crucial part of the franchise application process. B Bops will not execute a Franchise Agreement until an acceptable site has been located and approved.
If an acceptable site cannot be located and approved, the document states that the franchise application will not be approved. In this case, the prospective franchisee is entitled to receive a refund of the deposit, as described in Item 5 of the disclosure document. This protects the franchisee from losing their initial investment if a suitable location cannot be found.
This condition highlights the importance of thorough site selection and approval in the B Bops franchising process. It also underscores the risk involved in the initial application, as the process can be halted and the franchise agreement not executed if a site is not approved. However, the refund of the deposit mitigates some of the financial risk for the applicant.
