What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee has specific responsibilities regarding the availability of the Franchise Premises for assistance from the company, particularly during the pre-opening and post-opening phases. The franchisee must ensure that the Franchise Premises is accessible to B Bops representatives who are providing assistance. Additionally, the franchisee, or the franchisee's manager, must be present at the Franchise Premises while the B Bops representatives are there to offer support. The franchisee is also expected to cooperate with these representatives in providing the necessary assistance.
This requirement ensures that B Bops can effectively support new franchisees in setting up and launching their restaurants. By making the premises available and being present during the assistance period, the franchisee can directly benefit from the expertise and guidance provided by B Bops. This hands-on support is crucial for adhering to B Bops's standards and operational procedures from the outset.
Failure to comply with these requirements could potentially hinder the opening process and delay the launch of the franchise. It is essential for prospective franchisees to understand and plan for this obligation, ensuring they or their manager can dedicate the necessary time and attention to the assistance provided by B Bops. This cooperation is a key component of the initial support system designed to help franchisees succeed.
In general, it is common practice in the franchise industry for franchisors to provide initial support and training to new franchisees. The franchisee's active participation and cooperation during this phase are vital for a successful launch. B Bops's requirement for the franchisee or manager to be present and cooperative aligns with this industry standard, emphasizing the importance of a collaborative relationship between the franchisor and franchisee.
