What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee or the franchisee's proposed manager must attend and complete a training course to the satisfaction of B Bops before opening the franchise for business. This training course, conducted by B Bops at its principal office, includes on-site instruction regarding standard management procedures for operating a B Bops Restaurant.

The initial franchise fee covers the course and all necessary materials for up to two people. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all compensation, travel, lodging, and other expenses incurred by themselves or their employees while attending the training. If B Bops determines that the franchisee's proposed manager is not qualified during the training, the franchisee must select and enroll a substitute manager. B Bops may also extend the training period if they deem additional training necessary for satisfactory completion.

Furthermore, if a franchisee plans to transfer the franchise to a new owner, the transferee or the individual responsible for managing the franchise must successfully complete the training course that is in effect for new franchisees at the time of the transfer. B Bops is entitled to impose a reasonable charge for this training. Also, upon renewal of the franchise agreement, the franchisee is required to attend and satisfactorily complete any refresher training program that B Bops may require at that time.
