What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 B Bops Franchise Disclosure Document, after construction of the franchise premises is completed, the franchisee is required to return the construction plans and specifications to B Bops. These plans and specifications remain the exclusive property of B Bops at all times.

Additionally, any modifications to these plans require the consent of B Bops. If modifications are made, the person making the changes must execute and deliver an assignment of their rights to the modified plans and specifications to B Bops. This ensures that B Bops maintains control over the design and layout of its franchise locations, even when franchisees make necessary adjustments for their specific site.

This requirement is fairly standard in the franchise industry, as it allows the franchisor to maintain brand consistency and protect its intellectual property. Franchisees should be aware that they cannot freely alter the approved plans without permission and must relinquish any rights to modifications made during the construction process.
