What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain prior written approval from B Bops before making any alterations or modifications to the Franchise Premises' facilities, equipment, fixtures, furnishings, appearance, or signage, whether interior or exterior.

Prior to construction, the franchisee is responsible for selecting an architect to adapt B Bops's standard construction plans into site-specific plans that comply with local codes and regulations. These site-specific plans also require B Bops's written approval before construction can begin. B Bops has the right to conduct periodic inspections during the construction phase to ensure compliance with the approved site-specific plans and specifications.

If modifications are made to the plans and specifications, the consent of B Bops is required. Furthermore, the person making the modifications must execute and deliver to B Bops an assignment of their rights to the modified plans and specifications. This requirement ensures that B Bops retains control over the brand's image and standards, even when franchisees adapt the plans to suit their specific location.

These stipulations are typical in franchising, as they allow the franchisor to maintain uniformity and protect brand standards across all locations. For a prospective B Bops franchisee, this means that any desired changes to the standard design must be formally approved and legally assigned to B Bops, adding a layer of complexity to any remodeling or customization efforts.
