What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, either the franchisee or their manager is required to be present at the franchise premises during the time that B Bops' people are there providing assistance prior to opening. This assistance is provided for a period of between three and five days before the franchise opens, with the exact number of days to be determined by B Bops. During this time, B Bops will provide between one and four people to assist the franchisee in preparing for the opening.
In addition to being present, the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing B Bops for the cost of round-trip airline tickets, if applicable, and for the hotel expenses of the B Bops personnel providing the assistance. This could add a significant cost to the pre-opening phase, depending on the distance and number of personnel involved.
This requirement ensures that either the franchisee or the manager is actively involved in the pre-opening preparations, allowing them to learn firsthand from B Bops' team and address any immediate concerns. It also allows for direct oversight and coordination, which can be crucial for a smooth and successful opening. However, franchisees should factor in the additional costs of travel and lodging for the B Bops team when budgeting for the launch of their franchise.
