What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon executing the current franchise agreement, a franchisee is entitled to receive the company's initial and continuing assistance in establishing and operating the franchise. This assistance is detailed in Item 11 of the FDD.
Prior to opening a B Bops franchise, the company is obligated to provide services and/or assistance under the Development Agreement. This includes the franchisee selecting a proposed site for each franchise to be developed and submitting a written report to B Bops for approval. The report should describe the site and include any other information B Bops may reasonably request. B Bops will then investigate the proposed site and, within 30 days, either approve or reject it in writing. If the site is approved, B Bops will advise the franchisee within the same period whether indoor seating will be required.
During the operation of the franchise, B Bops is required to provide ongoing supervision, assistance, and services. This includes providing between one and four persons to assist in the operation of the franchise for four to six days immediately following the opening. The franchisee or their manager must be present during this assistance, and the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing B Bops for round-trip airline tickets and hotel expenses for the B Bops personnel. B Bops will also make a minimum of two trips per year to the franchise to provide on-site support and advisory services. Additionally, B Bops will offer advice and guidance on the proper operation of the franchise, including consultation on standard operating procedures, specific operating problems, analysis of financial reports, and implementation of advertising and promotional campaigns, typically through telephone conferences, updates to the Operations Manual, written reports, memoranda, and on-site support trips.
