Does the B Bops Franchise Agreement include confidentiality covenants?
B_Bops Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you buy this franchise, your contact information may be disclosed to other buyers when you leave the system. The Company's Franchise Agreement and Development Agreement include confidentiality covenants, but the confidentiality covenants will not restrict a current or former franchisee from discussing his or her personal experiences as a franchisee in the Company's system with any prospective franchisee.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, both the Franchise Agreement and the Development Agreement include confidentiality covenants. This means that franchisees are legally obligated to protect B Bops's proprietary information, trade secrets, and other confidential data. These covenants aim to prevent franchisees from disclosing sensitive information that could harm B Bops's competitive advantage or business operations.
However, the FDD specifies an important exception to these confidentiality covenants. Current and former B Bops franchisees are not restricted from discussing their personal experiences as franchisees within the B Bops system with prospective franchisees. This provision allows potential franchisees to gain insights from those who have direct experience with the franchise, which can be valuable in making an informed decision.
It's worth noting that while confidentiality is generally maintained, your contact information may be disclosed to other buyers if you leave the B Bops system. This is a common practice in franchising, allowing potential buyers to contact former franchisees for their perspectives on the business. Prospective franchisees should carefully review the specific terms of the confidentiality covenants in the Franchise Agreement and Development Agreement to fully understand their obligations and rights.
