Does B Bops have the discretion to extend the training period if deemed necessary?

B_Bops Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

The training course must be completed to the satisfaction of the Company by the person who will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Franchise. The Company may in its discretion extend the standard period of training if additional training is necessary in the Company's judgment for satisfactory completion of the course. If, during the training course, the Company determines that the proposed manager is not qualified to manage a B-Bop's Restaurant, the Company will notify you and you will have the opportunity to select and enroll a substitute manager in such course.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, B Bops has the authority to extend the standard training period if they believe additional training is needed for satisfactory completion of the course. The training course must be completed to the satisfaction of B Bops by the person responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the franchise.

If B Bops determines during the training course that the proposed manager is not qualified, they will notify the franchisee. The franchisee then has the opportunity to select and enroll a substitute manager in the training course.

This clause protects B Bops by ensuring that all managers meet their standards before operating a franchise. It also presents a risk for the franchisee, who may need to find and train a replacement manager if the initial candidate is deemed unsuitable, potentially delaying the franchise opening.
