What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Developer agrees to develop B Bops Restaurants in a specific Trade Area according to a set Development Schedule. This schedule, detailed in Appendix II, outlines the number of B Bops Units the Developer must develop and open within each development period, as well as the cumulative number of Units that must be open and operating by the end of each period.

The Development Schedule specifies the required pace of development, including the number of Units a Developer must open within a given timeframe and the total number of operating Units at the end of each development phase. If a B Bops Unit is permanently closed, it will still count toward the Development Schedule if a replacement Unit opens within nine months of the closure. However, this replacement Unit will not count towards fulfilling any other requirements of the Development Schedule.

This requirement ensures that Developers actively expand the B Bops brand within their designated territory according to the agreed-upon timeline. Failing to meet the Development Schedule could result in penalties or termination of the development agreement, as outlined elsewhere in the agreement. Prospective developers should carefully review Appendix II to understand the specific development milestones and timelines for their Trade Area.
