What is the B Bops Company's obligation regarding construction specifications?

Franchisee agrees to secure, at its sole expense, a site for the Franchise Premises which shall be approved in writing by Company as being suitable for use as a B-Bop's Restaurant. Using the construction plans and specifications
- PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES. To maintain uniformity in use of the Licensed System, Franchisee agrees to purchase equipment, fixtures, signage, supplies and food and beverage products necessary to establish and operate the Franchise in accordance with Company's specifications and standards in effect from time to time and, at the option of the Company, to purchase certain of such items through suppliers from time to time approved or designated by Company (which may include Company or its affiliates). Company reserves the right to substitute or add new items to the Licensed System from time to time and to require that such items be purchased in accordance with specifications established by Company or, at the option of the Company, through suppliers approved or designated by Company (which may include Company or its affiliates).
In the event the Franchise Premises is damaged or destroyed by fire or other casualty, Franchisee shall within sixty (60) days of such event implement and diligently pursue such repairs as may be necessary to restore the Franchise Premises to its original condition; or, if the Franchise Premises can be restored in accordance with Company's then current specifications without significant additional cost to Franchisee, Company shall be entitled to direct that such restoration proceed in accordance with the then current specifications.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for securing a site that B Bops approves for use as a restaurant. The franchisee must develop the premises using B Bops' construction plans and specifications.
To maintain uniformity, the franchisee must purchase equipment, fixtures, signage, supplies, and food and beverage products that meet B Bops' standards. These items are necessary to establish and operate the franchise. B Bops has the option to require the franchisee to purchase certain items through suppliers that B Bops approves or designates, which may include B Bops or its affiliates.
B Bops reserves the right to substitute or add new items to the licensed system and require franchisees to purchase these items according to B Bops' specifications or through approved suppliers. If the franchise premises is damaged, the franchisee must restore it to its original condition within 60 days. However, B Bops can direct that the restoration proceed according to its current specifications if this does not significantly increase the cost to the franchisee.
