What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement requires franchisees to purchase all items necessary to establish and operate their franchise in accordance with the specifications established by B Bops. For food and beverage items and ingredients, these specifications primarily relate to the type and brand of items required to prepare the products offered on the standard B Bops restaurant menu. This ensures uniformity across all B Bops locations.
Notably, B Bops' proprietary hamburger seasoning must be purchased from a manufacturer licensed by B Bops, specifically through the food distributor of B Bops' choice. This requirement ensures that a key ingredient remains consistent across all franchises, maintaining the brand's signature taste.
These specifications for food and beverage items are included in the Operations Manual, which is provided to franchisees prior to the initial training course. B Bops can modify these specifications from time to time, distributing updates through the Operations Manual or via written reports and memoranda. While franchisees must adhere to these specifications, they are generally free to purchase items meeting these specifications from the source of their choosing, except for items like employee uniforms and paper products bearing the B Bops logo, which must be purchased from approved suppliers.
