What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase all equipment and fixtures necessary for operating the franchise in accordance with the specifications established by B Bops. These specifications primarily relate to the manufacturer and model number of the equipment and fixtures.
B Bops formulates its specifications based on the experience of its affiliate, B-Bop's, in operating ten B-Bop's Restaurants. Any modifications to these specifications will be based on B-Bop's continuing experience and its own experience in franchising B-Bop's Restaurants. The construction specifications, which include details about equipment and fixtures, are provided to the franchisee after the Franchise Agreement is executed and the initial franchise fee is paid.
This means a prospective B Bops franchisee will need to adhere to the specific manufacturers and model numbers for all equipment and fixtures required to run the restaurant. While the franchisee can generally source these items from a supplier of their choosing, the equipment must precisely match B Bops' standards. This ensures uniformity across all B Bops locations, but it may limit the franchisee's flexibility in choosing equipment based on price or personal preference. Franchisees should inquire about the typical cost and lifespan of specified equipment to factor these expenses into their financial projections.
