What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to B Bops' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the approval of a proposed site by B Bops does not guarantee the success of a B Bops Restaurant at that location. While B Bops reviews and approves or rejects the proposed site, this approval does not constitute a representation or warranty that the site will be successful.
Specifically, the FDD states that the developer acknowledges and agrees that B Bops' approval of a site does not guarantee success. The developer assumes all risks associated with establishing the B Bops unit at the approved location. This means that even if B Bops approves a site after its own investigation, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for the financial outcome of the restaurant at that site.
This is a common practice in franchising, as franchisors typically provide guidance and support in site selection but cannot guarantee business success due to various market factors and the franchisee's own operational capabilities. Prospective B Bops franchisees should conduct their own due diligence and market research to assess the viability of any proposed location, even after it has been approved by B Bops.
