What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 B Bops Franchise Disclosure Document, the advertising fee obligation may not continue for the entire term of the franchise agreement. While B Bops will develop advertising campaigns using the funds collected from franchisees, the franchisor is not obligated to provide advertising campaigns to a franchisee if they have elected to waive the advertising fee payment in whole.
This means that a B Bops franchisee's obligation to pay the advertising fee, and consequently the franchisor's obligation to provide advertising, is contingent on whether B Bops has elected to waive the fee. If the fee is waived, the franchisee does not pay, and B Bops does not have to provide advertising.
Prospective franchisees should clarify with B Bops under what circumstances the advertising fee might be waived and what impact this would have on the marketing support they receive. It is important to understand the conditions under which advertising support could be reduced or eliminated during the term of the franchise agreement.
