What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Azal Coffee Franchise Disclosure Document, the company's sole obligation is to provide confidential information to the franchisee parties at the outset of the business relationship so that the franchisee parties may open and operate the Franchise Business. Azal Coffee has no further obligations once the company has provided the Information to the Franchisee Parties.
This means that Azal Coffee franchisees are prohibited from beginning operation of the Franchise Business if the company has not yet provided the Confidential Information to the Franchisee Parties. The Confidential Information is related to Franchisee's operation of its Azal Coffee Store franchise. This information is not to be disclosed to any other party or used to compete against the Company, any affiliate(s) or other franchisee(s) of the Company.
This is a typical clause in franchise agreements, as the franchisor's core responsibility is to equip the franchisee with the knowledge and resources necessary to run the business according to the established system. Without this initial transfer of information, the franchisee cannot properly launch and manage an Azal Coffee store.
