C. Refurbishing of Franchise Location. You must complete the refurbishing, updating, upgrading, construction and/or improvement of the Franchise Location and the equipment, fixtures and signs at the Franchise Location as specified below. These actions must be completed within 90 days of the date of the Effective Date of this Addendum.

Based on the 2024 Azal Coffee Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee who is purchasing an existing Azal Coffee store can get a three-month extension to complete the refurbishing, updating, upgrading, construction and/or improvement of the Franchise Location.
Specifically, if a franchisee is acquiring an open and operating Azal Coffee store from a current owner, they must complete the required refurbishing, updating, upgrading, construction, and/or improvement of the franchise location within 90 days of the Effective Date of the Addendum. The Effective Date is the date the franchisee receives possession and ownership of the store.
This means that a new Azal Coffee franchisee taking over an existing location has a limited time frame to make any necessary changes to bring the store up to the franchisor's standards. Failing to complete these updates within the 90-day window could potentially lead to issues with compliance and the franchise agreement.
