What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Azal Coffee Franchise Disclosure Document, Section 1.3 of the franchise agreement defines the term "Franchise Business." It specifies that a business operating under the Azal Coffee systems, franchise marks, and trade dress is referred to as a "Store." The section further clarifies that the specific store the franchisee is licensed to operate under the agreement is called the "Franchise Business."
This definition is important for franchisees as it clearly identifies what constitutes an official Azal Coffee franchise. It ensures that both the franchisor and franchisee have a shared understanding of what is included within the scope of the franchise agreement. This encompasses the operational systems, branding, and overall presentation of the Azal Coffee business.
For a prospective franchisee, understanding this definition is crucial because it sets the foundation for their rights and obligations under the franchise agreement. It confirms that they are authorized to operate a store using Azal Coffee's established methods and brand identity, and it also implies that they must adhere to the franchisor's standards to maintain the integrity of the "Franchise Business."
