What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, individuals attending the initial training program may be required to sign agreements pertaining to confidentiality and/or noncompetition. These agreements must be in a form approved by Azal Coffee. Further details regarding these agreements can be found in Exhibit E and Item 14 of the FDD.
This requirement means that prospective franchisees, along with their designated owners and general managers, may need to agree to certain restrictions to protect Azal Coffee's proprietary information and business practices. These agreements typically prevent trainees from disclosing confidential information learned during training and from competing with Azal Coffee during and after the franchise agreement term.
Franchisees should carefully review Exhibit E and Item 14 of the FDD to understand the specific terms and conditions of these agreements, including the scope of confidentiality, the duration and geographic area of noncompetition, and any potential legal implications. It is advisable to seek legal counsel to fully understand the obligations and restrictions imposed by these agreements before attending the training program.
