What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering the traveling and living expenses incurred by themselves and their employees while attending the initial training program. The Azal Coffee training program is approximately 7 days in length, and the training program will be conducted without charge for up to 2 persons (1 Designated Owners and 1 General Manager).
This means that prospective Azal Coffee franchisees must factor in the costs of transportation, accommodation, meals, and other related expenses for themselves and their staff when budgeting for the initial setup and training phase of their franchise. The training program takes place at Azal Coffee's affiliate in Dearborn, Michigan, or another location determined by Azal Coffee.
If the franchisee wants to train additional people besides the Designated Owner and General Manager, Azal Coffee may charge a reasonable fee for each additional person trained. Furthermore, if Azal Coffee requires a franchisee to complete additional training, the franchisee will be responsible for all expenses, including travel, labor, lodging, and meals, and will also be required to pay Azal Coffee a rate of $250 per person per day for conducting such additional training.
