What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to register their business name as "Azal Coffee" with an additional designation to differentiate it from other locations, such as "Azal Coffee of Dearborn." This registration must be done under an assumed business name.
Azal Coffee mandates that franchisees operate their business under the Franchise Marks and prohibits the use of any other name or mark without prior written consent from the franchisor. Franchisees are also restricted from using the Intellectual Property in connection with products or services not explicitly authorized by Azal Coffee in writing. This includes reproducing Franchise Marks on forms, invoices, advertising, marketing materials, websites, or domain names without prior written consent.
Furthermore, franchisees cannot use the Franchise Marks in their business's corporate, partnership, or limited liability company name. Upon the expiration or termination of the Franchise Agreement, Azal Coffee reserves the right to sign any necessary documents on behalf of the franchisee to discontinue the use of Franchise Marks if the franchisee fails to do so. This ensures that all franchisees adhere to the brand's standards and protects the integrity of Azal Coffee's Intellectual Property.
