What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Azal Coffee does not participate in any purchasing or distribution cooperatives. The FDD specifies that Azal Coffee also does not provide material benefits to franchise owners based on a franchisee's use of designated or approved sources. However, Azal Coffee does negotiate purchase arrangements, including prices and payment terms, with certain suppliers for certain products.
This means that as an Azal Coffee franchisee, you will not be able to leverage the potential cost savings or streamlined distribution that can come with cooperative purchasing arrangements. Instead, you will be reliant on the purchasing arrangements that Azal Coffee negotiates with its suppliers.
While Azal Coffee does not offer purchasing cooperatives, franchisees are obligated to purchase the majority of their supplies from either Azal Coffee or from their designated or approved suppliers. Specifically, 90% to 100% of total purchases in establishing the franchise and 90% to 100% of the total purchases in operating the franchise must be from Azal Coffee, Designated Suppliers, Approved Suppliers, or in accordance with their specifications.
