What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain Employer Practices Liability insurance with minimum limits of at least $1,000,000. This insurance coverage is part of a broader set of insurance requirements Azal Coffee imposes to protect the brand and its franchisees from various liabilities.
In addition to Employer Practices Liability insurance, Azal Coffee franchisees are required to have comprehensive general liability insurance with specific limits for bodily injury and property damage, personal and advertising injury insurance, an umbrella liability insurance policy, and "all risk" insurance on the premises, equipment, and supplies. They must also carry cyber security liability insurance, worker's compensation and/or employer's liability insurance as required by law, and business interruption insurance.
The specific limits and coverage details for these other insurance types are also outlined in the FDD, and franchisees must adhere to Azal Coffee's standards and specifications for all insurance coverage. This ensures that each franchise location has adequate protection against potential risks, aligning with common practices in the franchise industry where franchisors set minimum insurance requirements to safeguard their brand and network.
