What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is conducted without charge for up to two people, specifically one Designated Owner and one General Manager. This training is a crucial part of setting up the franchise, as Azal Coffee requires that a Designated Owner and a General Manager (if they are not the same person) must complete the initial training program before the store begins operations.

If the franchisee wishes to have additional people trained, Azal Coffee may charge a reasonable fee for each additional person. The training program's length is approximately 7 days, but this can vary depending on the trainee's prior experience in the coffee industry. The training takes place at Azal Coffee's affiliate in Dearborn, Michigan, or at another location determined by Azal Coffee.

It is important to note that while the training program itself is free for the initial two attendees, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses for themselves and their employees during the training period. Additionally, attendees may be required to sign confidentiality and/or noncompetition agreements before starting the training program, ensuring the protection of Azal Coffee's operational methods and business interests.
