How many hours of classroom training are dedicated to Coffee and Menu Preparation for Azal Coffee?

According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program includes 8 hours of classroom training dedicated to Coffee and Menu Preparation. This training will take place in Dearborn, Michigan, or at another location determined by Azal Coffee. In addition to the classroom training, there are 20 hours of on-the-job training for Coffee and Menu Preparation.

Prospective franchisees should note that the training location is subject to change at Azal Coffee's discretion. While the initial training program is provided without charge for up to two people (one Designated Owner and one General Manager), franchisees are responsible for all travel and living expenses during the training period. Additional training may be required at a cost of $250 per person per day, plus expenses, if the franchisee does not complete the initial training program to Azal Coffee's satisfaction.

The Azal Coffee FDD also outlines other training subjects, including Azal Coffee History and Menu Basics (1 hour of classroom training), Permits, POS Systems, and Safety Protocol (2 hours of classroom training), Opening and Closing the Store (2 hours of classroom training), Food Preparation, Handling, Labeling, Storage, and Inventory (3 hours of classroom training), Customer Service and Marketing (2 hours of classroom training), and Beverage Trials and Testing (2 hours of classroom training). The total classroom training hours amount to 20 hours, with an additional 36 hours of on-the-job training.
