What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee remains in possession of the franchise location after the franchise agreement expires or terminates, they must alter the premises to distinguish it from the appearance of an Azal Coffee store.

This requirement ensures that the public does not mistakenly believe the location is still an authorized Azal Coffee franchise. The franchisee is responsible for making these alterations at their own expense.

This obligation is standard practice in franchising to protect the brand's image and prevent consumer confusion after a franchise agreement ends. It is important for potential Azal Coffee franchisees to understand these post-termination obligations, as they can involve significant costs and effort to re-brand the location if they continue to operate a business there.
