What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Azal Coffee will go through a ready to open checklist with the franchisee a day or two before the representative is scheduled to travel to the franchise location. This checklist is part of the on-site pre-opening training and final inspection process.
Prior to this checklist, at least thirty (30) days before the projected opening date, the franchisee must request in writing that Azal Coffee perform its final inspection. The Azal Coffee franchise must be ready to open before any on-site training or the final inspection begins. Being "ready to open" means the franchisee has all necessary permits, licenses, and inspections, all equipment is operational, product is available for sale, adequate staff is employed, and either the franchisee or a trained manager is present at the location.
If the Azal Coffee franchise is not ready to open when the representative arrives, the franchisee will be responsible for covering all reasonable travel and living expenses incurred by Azal Coffee, as well as the wages of their employees or contractors involved in the on-site assistance and inspection. Furthermore, if the location isn't ready, Azal Coffee will only provide on-site assistance and a final inspection after the franchisee pays these expenses and certifies that the business is ready to open. If the franchisee is not ready to open when the checklist is performed, Azal Coffee will reschedule the representative's travel, and the franchisee will be responsible for all expenses associated with rescheduling, including salaries and cancellation fees.
