What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must comply with the federal Clean Air Act. The FDD states that franchisees are required to adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and orders related to the operation of their store. This includes obtaining and maintaining all necessary registrations, charters, licenses, and permits.

The FDD specifically mentions that the federal Clean Air Act and various implementing state laws require certain state and local areas to meet national air quality standards. These standards limit emissions of ozone, carbon monoxide, and particulate matters, including caps on emissions from commercial food preparation. Therefore, Azal Coffee franchisees must ensure their stores comply with these air quality standards and any related regulations.

In practical terms, this means franchisees may need to invest in equipment or processes that minimize emissions from food preparation. They should also stay informed about any changes to federal, state, or local regulations related to air quality and commercial food preparation. Failure to comply with these laws could result in fines, penalties, or other legal consequences.
