What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to include a statement in their advertising indicating that each Azal Coffee location is independently owned and operated. This requirement is contingent upon Azal Coffee specifying it.
This means that Azal Coffee retains control over brand messaging and how its franchise locations are perceived by the public. By mandating this statement, Azal Coffee aims to clarify the relationship between the franchisor and its franchisees, emphasizing the individual ownership of each location. This can help manage customer expectations and ensure that each franchisee is seen as a local business owner.
For a prospective Azal Coffee franchisee, this requirement means adhering to Azal Coffee's advertising guidelines and incorporating the specified disclaimer in all marketing materials. Failure to comply with these guidelines could result in disapproval of advertising materials or other consequences as outlined in the franchise agreement. Franchisees should clarify with Azal Coffee the specific instances where this disclaimer is required to ensure compliance.
