What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is prohibited from using any advertising materials that have not been approved by Azal Coffee. All advertising, including signage, must be factual, dignified, and conform to Azal Coffee's standards. Franchisees must submit all marketing and promotion materials they prepare to Azal Coffee for approval at least 30 days before use. If Azal Coffee does not provide written approval within this 30-day period, the advertising is considered disapproved.
Azal Coffee retains the right to disapprove any advertising materials at any time, even if previously approved, and franchisees must immediately stop using such materials upon written notice. Franchisees must also avoid any business or advertising that could harm Azal Coffee's business or goodwill.
Furthermore, Azal Coffee may require franchisees to include specific notices in their advertising, such as the company's website domain, toll-free number, or a statement about franchise availability. All materials containing Azal Coffee's proprietary marks must include the appropriate designation (SM, TM, ®, or ©). These restrictions are typical in franchising, allowing the franchisor to maintain brand consistency and protect its trademarks.
