What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to include specific language in their advertising materials. To the extent possible, all advertising must include the phrase: "Each Azal Coffee is independently owned and operated." This requirement aims to clarify the relationship between Azal Coffee and its franchisees to the public.
This means that franchisees must ensure that this disclaimer is present in all forms of advertising they use, including signage, print ads, and digital marketing. The franchisor retains the right to specify where and how this notice should appear to ensure it is conspicuous and effectively communicates the independent ownership of each franchise.
While the FDD excerpt specifies that the statement should be included in advertising materials, it does not explicitly state where a notice must be conspicuously posted within the physical Franchise Business location. A prospective franchisee should clarify with Azal Coffee the specific requirements for displaying this notice within the store to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
